Paint protection
i see many molded products and static electricity adhered protectors on the market. on my 1975 coupe my "dog legs" in front of the rear tires would get chipped by debris and rocks. Getting in and out of my current C-6 i purchased a molded lower door protector semi clear to protect this area. same for the sill plate area. all work very well. I was in a Staples today and saw a roll of "CLEAR COVER" to protect books(school is back) and documents. it is removable and leaves no residue. i can only describe it as a similar heavy duty Saran Wrap this is not completely invisible but similar in transparancy to a clear molded plastic type protector. it is applied by using a squeegee, your finger, or anything else to remove the bubbles. it comes on a roll 18" X 9 Ft. i cut a section from the roll and applied it to the wheel well in front of my rear tire. Guess what IT WORKS!!!!!!!!! just peel it off like removing saran wrap. as a brother corvette owner (also a brother fireman to many) we take care care of our own. i think the cost is about $3.29 a roll. wanted to pass this this on to you all.
