Underdrive Question
About to pick up a 25% UD harmonic balancer for my LS2 and I was just wondering if the smaller pulley requires a smaller belt or if the tensioner can pick up the slack.

It's a Jegs name brand piece so I have some faith in it. I just hope it's not one of those "you get what you pay for" scenarios.
I was actually looking at those tensioners. I didn't want to spend the money on one if I didn't need to though. Thought I'd ask around on here first. Will the Katech take up enough of the slack from the OEM belt with the 25% UD? What would you recommend for the AC belt?

I am not at the house, so I do not have all of my paper work in front of me. I believe that I have a 10% under drive from ATI plus I have the tensioner that I posted. I use "Gates' belts, but I do not have the P/N's in front of me at this time. If no one has answered your question by the time I get home tonight, then I will look and post what I have.

you will need 2 new belts. the tentioner will not make up the difference. most times the packaging gives you the recommended belt sizes in the instructions.
