I have seen the Plastidip used to change the color, but the Black Cherry Gloss sure looks like a true paint job, not a Plastidip job. I knew they made a gloss enhancer, but I did not know how it would look. Also, I am sure you have had a lot of experience with the Plastidip.
I tried wrap in my another car. Wrap is good for small area. For large area with contour lines, unless you have a very steady hand, one has the risk chipping the paint. It is much easier to dip the whole car than to wrap it.
5K compared to 5 hundred, I'd say stick to plasti dip. Every color looked awesome!!
Who told you wraps are 5k?

A few members on here with wraps and in my opinion they look better and you can simply wash it and dry it just abou tlike paint where you cant with plastidip. Plastidip has some issue as well.
I was going for the obvious high end of the spectrum, which would be $5k like this guy spent "from a friend who owns the shop"!!! Imagine if he didn't know the owner of the shop?? http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...ped-vette.html
Even at the average range of $2000 - $3500, the OP can get 5-7 color changes for the same money at $300-$500 for dip...
And most guys can't wrap their own car, but dip is easier to use for the average joe....
Dip will get in places that you cant get out unless you really tape off well and honestly, most people who use it DONT tape off that well. You also cant dry it like a wrap. And there have been some paint issues with it reported. I wouldnt put a spray on plastic on a car unless it was a beater.

I totally agree, and would never tell any one to do it, but he did it 4 times already so I hope he knows what he's doing!
Just wrapped my car and it was under $2k to have someone do it for me. Not sure where the $5k figures are coming for, but since mats are ~$800 you'd be getting ripped off paying $4,200 in labor lol.
