I wouldn't limit my options, heated storage is not needed.

Just lease a small ~500 sq ft suite in an industrial area. Most are heated/cooled, have sink/toilet, lights, electric outlets, 24/7 accessibility, and even a small office space for the away-from-home mancave.

^^^This^^^^. I did it for several years in MN...what a waste of money. Won't do it again that's for sure.

A good idea though is to put that money you would use for heated storage in a jar or separate account. When the Spring comes, you have some 'Mod' money!

I'm assuming you didn't like my previous recommendation. So how about insulating and heating your current garage. It'd certainly be cheaper and far more convenient, while also increasing the value of your home.

Even if you could find heated storage, I would advise against it. Read this pdf file: Hot Tips For Cold Storage -- Collector Cars

Think about it: What happens if the power fails in your heated garage? Even if it's well-insulated, it can get cold real fast on a winter night.

Then when power is restored, it'll heat up REALLY fast! Then I'd worry about damage from thermal shock.

Anyway, after the recent widespread flooding in Colorado, I'd be MUCH more concerned that the storage is on high ground.

If you just gotta have heated storage, here's a thought: Maybe a specialty car dealer has "rentable" indoor space.

Like this dealer: http://www.corvettesonlydenver.com/.

Another plus: If it becomes necessary to sell your C6, I bet they could handle everything -- prep, advertising, qualifying buyers, financing, paperwork, etc. Especially handy if you're out-of-town on a long term assignment.

But I don't know them personally. Maybe someone with experience will chime in.
