Cool Dude
Took off this morning to run some errands and as always hit the backroads. These roads are barely 2 lanes wide but a lot of fun to drive. I came around a corner and some guy was mowing his property along the side of the road with all sorts of crap spewing out from the mower deck. I moved over to the left and as I approached he stopped the tractor and killed the mower deck to let me pass w/o incident. I wish now I had stopped to thank him. Most would have just sprayed the car!
Its nice he did that. It is also illegal to blow your grass clippings in the road.
he is cool that he respects your car but he is still a retard for blowing it in the road.
I have almost lost it a few times on a motorcycle from wet grass being in the road after someone has mowed it. I also have hit stones in the road from peoples driveways....yes, you are to clean up the road if rocks/stones enter it from your driveway.
Next time please stop and inform him that what he is doing is a danger to people on the road.

Same on me? I really dont follow.
rwsinky: I noticed your location was Lexington. I've ridden tens of thousands of miles on KY roads with my motorcycle, simply because KY seems to treat their road system as an asset, as opposed to OH that treats it as a liability. That being said, I firmly believe it is actually a CRIME to NOT discharge your grass clippings into the roadway when you mow, based on my experience with the rural routes.
I agree that the fella who stopped his mower blades for you as you passed by was a cool dude!

My wife drove by a guy mowing on a rider in a small town, and the mower threw a rock and broke the driver's side window completely out. So mowers can be dangerous as well as an irritant.

I've had pucker moments on my motorcycles as well, regarding fresh grass clippings all over the road...especially in curves.
My worst experiences have been in Arkansas for some reason...

Very nice!. I'll do the same for people on the sidewalk when I'm out front working in the yard.
Wife and I were eating at a small carry out restaurant and an older guy weed whacked the crap out of the Vette ...not so Cool Dude.

I agree, most Mexican people I know bust their a$$ and work hard! Harder than most...I live in SoCal so I see a lot of people working for a better life...anyway yeah, pretty racist no doubt.
I think people get too sensitive and throw the race card way too much - most of the time it's taken wrong. I could be wrong - wayback could be a card carrying KKK member for all I know and might be getting ready for his clan meeting right now - but I doubt it.

not sure I would be so quick to pull the race card - here in So Cal - I can't remember the last time I saw a white dude mowing grass - I'm not being racist, it's just the reality of how things are. I'm sure in Texas it's pretty much the same thing. We were in Pittsburgh last week, and I was laughing to my wife about seeing white guys working for the lawn services - just the way things are back there.
