Im looking at an 05 C6 speed. Its a couple hundred miles away from me but the dealer sent me a ton of pics and it looks pretty good. Im not looking for a show car, so a few small scratches dont bother me. The only thing Im hung up on is that the car has 75K.
Im trying to get in as low as possible to leave money for blower upgrades. They are asking $21900.
What do you guys think? Am I crazy for buying a car with 75K? Obviously if money was no object, I wouldnt be doing this and would look for something with less miles.
It's 8 years old. 75k miles is under 10k/year. It's not high mileage or worrisome on any other 2005 car and it's not high mileage or worrisome on a Vette. Depending on options the price is a little on the high side for an '05, but that's always negotiable at a dealer.

It's a good deal in my opinion. A C6 for less than $25K that has less than 100K miles?
Sounds pretty good to me. I had a 2003 C5 with 114,000 miles that was totaled almost exactly a year ago. The insurance company gave me slightly over $20K for it, so $21,500 for your car is pretty good. Of course, you should dicker over the price a bit but it's a pretty good deal as it stands.
I offered him $20k tonight about half an hour ago. They dont want to budge on the $21900. I told him I would have to sleep on it tonight to consider offering him anymore. Got to have some money left over upgrades!!
I keep checking the C6 for sale section and ebay hoping to find an already modded car that I like for under $30k
Keep looking and in the meantime stick to your guns and check back in a few to see if it is still out there. See what they say then, unless your heart is dictating your wallet. There are many many fish in the sea.

Don't blink first, $20k is a good offer for that car. They should take it after making you sweat a little. You can get a lot of Vette for under $30k if you look around and have a little patience. Getting emotionally attached to a car you're thinking about buying is a gauranteed recipe for paying too much.
Way too much. Edmunds has the average selling price loaded nav, hud etc. in clean condition at $18.1.
I don't know where Edmonds gets their information but an average sale price of 18k for c6's with 75k miles is not realistic. You can check Auto Trader, E Bay or any other sale site and not find any close to that price. The OP has found a good deal at $21.9.
I think region has a lot to do with it. Cars don't sell for the same price in California as they do in say Texas, or Louisiana. New York prices are different as well.
I haven't seen the car, or know what options it has, how the tires are, or anything but I think 20k would be a good price.
I passed on this car. Im going to keep looking for a car thats already done with at least headers and blower. There are some out there but Im being picky !

I too, use Edmunds for my low baseline price when negotiating. I don't know how Corvettes are selling, but I can tell you there are some vehicles you absolutely cannot buy at Edmunds pricing.
It never hurts to throw the numbers at the dealer though.
