Life after death
Ok after all the fallout the car was not totaled and the rebuild has started. Yes I already know the value of the car is lost but we have a history and I don't want to scrap her.
So the rebuild will consist of a Supervette body kit, wheels, tires, and Pfadt coil over suspension. I want to split the head lights and replace the lenses also.
With the back of the car off as seen in the pic below would it be very hard to upgrade the fuel pump? If not should I use a ZO6 pump or an aftermarket?
Please offer advise on the rebuild.

Wow! Good luck with the project. I would have bet my paycheck that the remains of your car would have been turned into pop cans by now.
I hope that your health has returned to its preaccident level
Was the perp ever found?

Looks like now would be an easy time to upgrade the fuel pump.
IDK which pump would be your best bet.
GL with the rebuild. Post lots of pics.

They have not found the perp yet but I hired a PI and he is looking for him in the daylight with a flashlight, he gets a bonus if he finds the guy.
As for my health my head is doing much better and I would say I am at least 85-90%. My back is messed up between my shoulder blades and above my pelvic. There is also an issue with my left hip and I am scheduled for an MRI on it.

Should be easy to change pumps the problem is hooking up the cross over and in this condition it should be a snap. Still need to drop tanks down for access to pull pumps. Don't have a suggestion on pump if you are going high horse power maybe after market.

Just glad to hear you're on the road to recovery. The car project will hopefully help with the rehab too.

Good luck on your recovery....I'm guessing I'd be that guy that juts takes the shifter **** before they crusher and get a new one...
They can fix some messed up stuff though now so good luck with that as well.

I wish I could score some of those replica 18x12 Z06 wheels for the rear.
If anyone has any suggestion on this rebuild that I might be missing please speak up.

I can help with the headlights. I would suggest not waiting to the last minute.
I've did a lot of rebuilds. BTDT. Should end up looking great.

Wow.
Good luck on the build. Definitely do the fuel pump now when it's easy to drop the tanks.
Get healed up so you can enjoy that bad boy when its back together.

Glad to hear you're feeling better, and the car is being resurrected. It does really suck that they haven't found the assclown in the dually yet, I home the PI finds the moron. It just amazes me the quality of some people in today's world, if not for the cage you may have been seriously hurt or even killed, and the POS just drives off. Good luck with the rebuild and do keep us posted on the car and if they catch this guy.
