on fire
Yesterday late afternoon south bound route 95 between exits 54 and 55 Georgetown/ Byfield Mass. A silver C6 convertible on fire in the break down lane. Fire crews were on the scene and the car was a write off. Appears the fire started under the hood and you can guess the rest... Pretty much from the middle of the doors forward gone. I hope the occupants bailed out of it and are ok.
Might be a good time to check your fuel lines especially if you made any mods under the hood...

I own two Ferraris and always look for fuel line issues with them. Usually the fuel filler to tank hose or the dual tank cross over hose tends to weaken with age.
I understand that the new Ferrari 458 had early fuel line issues causing fires on $250,000 plus cars...

The older ones used to have problems with the fuel/air mix that would overheat the cats and cause a fire. Thus you rarely find old Ferraris with the cats in place.
