Default GMS Discount

I know this varies with the price of a new C6, but has anyone purchased one lately with the discount? If so, about how much of a savings was it? MSRP/Discount
Thanks,
Joe

Need to clarify if you're asking about Employee Discount or the old Friends and Family/Supplier Discount.

Employee Discount is $3000.

Check Tim Boone's post here, he lists all the available deals and discounts at the top:

GMS discounts much have changed since I bought my 05 C6 new in 2005. The discount then was about $8,000 on a $52,000 MSRP. I am thinking about updating to a new C6 or C7.

Things apparently changed a lot after the bankruptcy.

Why not just go DIRECTLY to the GM Employee Pricing website? You will find it below. Just enter your ZIP code because the discounts vary by U.S. regions. Then notice the model year at the top....I think 2013 is the first grouping, followed by 2014.

https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/ip-vpp/#tab_regional

But as someone mentioned, depending on where you are located, better deals are recognized from the dealer and omitting the GMS. Last 3 vehicles purchased were priced lower by a dealer than what GMS provided........and I am a GM Employee (retired) that helped establish the new rules (at that time) for the Employee Purchase program, 15 years ago.

Good Luck

Thankfully. As a taxpayer I am now lumbered with this albatross, $3k is plenty - anymore is absurd particularly given the life support injected into that entity.

The invoice will say preferred pricing and that is what a GM employee pays less EVA money that is Employee Vehicle ***. it varies per car line and when new products come on line this is just a minor discount. If you are good at dealing you can do as good.
This new program just sucks for us. Oh and if a line of cars is not selling they will give us a huge discount wanting us to bail them out if its selling tough titie said the kitty.

It looks like I got a great deal in 2005, I just need to figure about $5,000 more than I thought.
