What we have here, ladies and gents, is an upset, laid-off former employee being passive-aggressive hoping we elevate awareness with GM, and in turn hoping GM raises an issue with the manufacturer who provided said parts.

His conscience is clear by letting us know, and he gets his revenge so to speak, and he gets it fairly anonymously.

Maybe it'll play out, maybe not. I'm not sure I'd be all that pissed about blue thread, honestly. Not sure GM would be pissed enough to sue to reclaim some of their expenses.

Here is something else that you may want to think about:

If it did happen the parts could have been delivered to Chevrolet. Inspection of the parts by Chevrolet may have spotted the problem and not allowed them to be used.

The defective parts may or may not exist AND they may or may not have been used in the build of any cars.
