06 automatic problem

06 automatic problem
I was in Reno this week end to see friends ,later we left and the Corvette would not shift through gears ,it took off in high 6th gear ,even going to paddle shift it would not work or recognize that I shifted to paddle shift . So we drove home in 6th gear all the way ,taking off from a start was hard and slow. Now today it works good showing no sign it was going goofy before . So any one think they know what happened and thanks for any idea's /
