Nav Disk not recognized

Nav Disk not recognized
Frequently I get a message telling me my Nav disk is not a Nav disk. If I eject the disk, sometimes it takes several attempts, the system recognizes the disk and performs normally. The disk is clean and appears undamaged. Has anyone else experienced this who might be able to share their fix? 2006 if it matters. Thank you.

I had this issue with the updates. My 2 disk set work but the single disk kept bombing.
I now have a Pioneer Z140BH in my car. I got tired of that crap. What good is a system that you can't update?

The car environment is a very dirty one for DVDs and the laser technology that reads them...it is very likely that dust on the lens is the problem here.

There is a problem with the 2012 single disc upgrade bombing at startup no matter how clean your Navigation setup is. It seems to fix itself after a slight delay.
