Who's keeping their C6? -- Who's not?

I have a new Harley ordered, that's first on the "gotta have" list...maybe a few years down the road and "if" I fall in love with the C-7's I'll think about it. Right now my '05 still does it for me...

[QUOTE=WICKEDFRC;1584916598]Excellent question and I was considering to post this very same topic.
At the time when the C7 rednerings were available, I stumbled across two Arctic White C6Z06's at Boardwalk Chevrolet.
Without any hesitation, I called and spoke with Tim. For the first time in all of 9 years the C6 was available, this was the only time I was interested in a C6, and, found in the color combination, options, and pricing I was after.
My GF said "YOU DESERVE IT - DO IT!"
So, after a few days of contemplation, back and forth with Tim over the numbers, financing, etc....I went to the nearest Federal Express to drop off my Down Payment. Before I dropped half of my savings in an envelope via form of a Cashier's Check, I called my GF one more time for a sanity check.....She confirmed, "DO IT."
So, on December 22, I took delivery of one of the two Arctic White C6 Z06's available at a steal of a price.
Now as we lean forward into the C7 renderings of the possible "High Performance" version or the "ZO7" renderings, I am having a hard time sitting still.....
However, pricetag itself will dictate a "Yea" or "Nay".....But, if it were up to the GF, she'd probably say "Get a bigger garage."
Maybe somewhere down the road you might get rid of the Vette's but DON'T EVER GET RID OF THE GIRLFRIEND, she sounds special!

I've had C3's, C4's and C5's and now a C6, so maybe someday a C7 but for now, I'm quite happy with my Grand Sport. They'll have to do something really different to change my mind now. That rear window and all those sharp edges do nothing for me.

I have a 2012GS which I intend to keep. In 2004 I got caught up in the C6 frenzy. Paid MSRP. Had my car in Dec of 04. MagRed F55 Coupe.
Been there, done that.
I won't be looking at the C7 before MY 16 or 17. More refined car and discounts.

C7 of the Year - Unmodified Finalist 2021
the current plan is to keep my Victory Red 07 and not get a C7 - might skip to the C8 straight when it comes out (hopefully in Victory Red and not Torch Red)

I plan to keep both of my C6s (2008 coupe & 2009 vert), but I kind of wish I had traded the vert for a custom-ordered 427 (NRB w/red 3LT interior) when they were still being built. At this point, I really don't see a C7 in my future, but never say "never"......
Enjoy,

As of now I'm keeping my 07 AO Z06 for a couple reasons. I want to see the new Vette in person and give it a good look over as of now I do not like the rear looks. Perhaps in person I will like it better.
As I had a brand new 05 6spd M with a very serious long time DBS problem (2 years) I want to give the people at GM a period to iron out their mistakes before I get stuck with it.
Possibly a couple years down the road assuming I like the looks more than I do now I could see myself in a new Vert.
No problem with Mrs. 6spd as she also likes verts and has stated a couple times when are you going to order your new Vette? She liked the museum delivery with my 05 and the long trip back home so if getting a new one best bet it will be a NCM pick up!

still debating. i have the base 2lt and thinking of trading up for the 013 gs. (013 base) but then again, why not just trade up to the c7, i have 3300 miles on my 013, which isn't much at all. i saw a 012 centennial gs brand new here in pa., they want 20 grand and my car, i said no way due to the fact that it is an 012. have to admit, it's a beauty with the carbon flash color and the 3lt. but who in their right mind would go from an 013 to an 012 when the c7's are coming out soon.

I have a 2011 GS Conv, with 6,500 miles. I waited to see the C7 in person before making any decisions on upgrading. Not bashing but I feel if you start in the front of the car and come around the styling isn't so bad, but when you get to the rear it seems like "someone else" was left to finish the design. With that said I was on the hunt for a 427 vert. I wasn't able to find one exactly the way i wanted. I might be moving to a warmer climate where i will let go of my 2012 MB E350, and use the Vette as a D&D. If we see a Z07 as a 2015 , then I might trade up. Worst case is the 11 gets headers and a tune. Either way I feel I win.

I'm always a generation behind, I bought my 98 in August 2004 when the C6s were first released, and I just bought my C6 in April of this year just long enough for it to be the current generation for only a short time. My plan is to keep the C6 for about 5 years and then start looking for a nice low mileage C7 (I want a Laguna Blue with the M7 and Z51)

In 3 years, someone's low mileage 3 year old C7 garage queen will be available at about 55% off today's list price. That's when I will begin considering purchasing one. I love my C6 vert and still get that thrill driving it like the day I bought it.

I am very happy with my Grandsport! No plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. The C7 Stingray is a beautiful car IMO but I want to see later models to determine my decision. I may keep my GS until the C8 comes out if nothing else grab my attention during the C7 generation. I kept my C5 for 10 years before I upgraded to my GS. Had GM not released the GS I probably would be picking up a C7 Stingray during it's mid year.

My 2010 GS coupe is the best Corvette I have owned to date. I love it! However, over the past year my left side sciatica problem, from an old injury, has gotten worse. There are too many days when I can't drive the GS because of the clutch. I like the looks of the C7, but want to wait to drive one before I make a final decision. But at some point within the next year I will probably trade my manual C6 GS for an auto C7 because of the left leg and clutch issue. I turn 60 next month and getting old sucks; not getting old sucks more, i.e. Lucky people have birthdays!

Just bought another C6 and took delivery Wednesday (2010 ZR1). You could say I'm pretty heavily invested with three in the garage
Currently I foresee keeping them for a long time.
I will get to drive the C7 at Spring Mountain in November and that could influence my thinking.

I'll hold out for a few years. If I don't pick up a clean, used C7 someday I will be on the lookout for a used 427 vert. You hear that, all you 427 vert owners? Keep them clean and dry so I can buy yours in a few years.
