Default C6 will not start

My C6 will not start. I have no idea as to why not. Got any ideas?

Lights come on, but no start.

Will it turn over? If not I would start with the battery.

Do you have another vehicle you could jump it from? How about a battery charger for starters.

if you have a volt meter, measure the voltage across the battery terminals or better yet, from the positive post to the engine. You should have 12+ volts. depending on your issue, when you try to start the car, the voltage should not drop below 10 or so. if it does, you have a dead cell in the battery. Replace it.

Put your battery charger on it for a couple of hours. Then disconnedt the battery charger. If it starts do not pass go...

Head to the battery seller of choice and have them replace the battery using a keep alive device.

I'm still guessing it's a broken starter solenoid post, since the lights come on.

A little more explanation of the details of what happens when pushing the start button, besides "it won't start", would be helpful.

Something as simple as not pressing the brake pedal on an auto can cause that result too, so be very specific.

Default What Year?

If its an '05 like mine could be the dreaded steering lock not disengaging.. just did the bypass on mine after only owning the car for 3 weeks.. try just disconnecting the battery and then reconnect after a minute or so and if it then starts with no issue.. that may be your culprit.

Aw common',...

I know you're just trying to be helpful, but when the OP answers R&L's question..."does it turn over?" by saying,..."how do I do that?"

Do you really expect this dude is capable for using/reading, a voltmeter?

That is not what the op was responding to, read it again, try giving people a bit of credit, instead of being Mr. CF expert/critic.

Are we reading the same thread?

In post #2 R&L asks "will it turn over?"

In post #5 the OP says "Thanks R&L, "how do I do that?"

How do you interpret that differently? I'll be happy to apologize if I'm in error, but I don't see any other interpretation.

Try to respond without a nasty attitude.

In post 2 R&L states "Will it turn over? If not I would start with the battery."

I believe he meant how do I start with the battery.
No big deal by anyone..

Thanks, but I guess I need some more sleep, or something.

Unfortunately, I am still at a loss to understand.

Seems to me, whether the OP was responding to "will it turn over?", or "I'd start with the battery", his response of "how do I do that?" is ridiculous.

How does anyone with driving experience, not know what "does it turn over?", or "I'd start with the battery", means?

However, like you said, no big deal...
