Hey guys,
I just finished my wide booty rear conversion on my base c6. I had two days of prep work that I put into it, but it came out fairly well for someone who never used a HVLP paint gun. I got the rears from California Supercoupes and it worked out good since they are right down the road from me, so I was able to shoot down there and pick them up. The panels all came predrilled and I only had to elongate one hole per side. Not bad at all to be honest. I put two coats of base and two clear coats on the rears. There are some imperfections which I knew was going to be there prior to finishing since im not a professional painter. Either way I had a blast doing it and I love working on my car when I can. I am waiting on the clear to set in before I wetsand and buff the rears. The car is going to be professionally painted when I do my z06 front end conversion, I am not taking on that lol.
That's on my wish list for the future. Do you need new tires and rims if you're going to do this or is there some kind of spacer that will kick the standard tires and rims out a bit?

Yours look great!!!
Thank you, I went with oem z wheels for the right offset. Some people have used spacers in the back with success. I love the look of tucking my 345s under the fender well. Jay
