Well, got the leaking drivers tank out a few weeks ago, finally got enough free time to take pics and post, turns out it was leaking from two spots, verified by pressure test. Leaking thru cracks in fitting where fuel line exits assembly. Also leaking where fuel pump assembly is mounted to drivers side tank.
You can see the dark lines in the fuel pump assembly plastic where it was leaking. Then around the sealing surface, it was leaking where the seal was plastic welded into the rest of the tank.

Darn, how do I turn the picture right side up?

Just picked up a used 08 that had the same issue. You could smell fuel the first night in the garage but no visible drip. Pulled the tank and it had cracks all along the output side of the plastic elbow to fuel hose. Dropped in a z06 pump for under $300. Good to go
