I've just been browsing the C7 Forum and looking at the new delivery pics. While I liked the design (somewhat) at first, I find myself liking it less each day. Seems like 90% of the cars are being delivered w/ those ugly a$$ black wheels. Are chrome wheels even an option now? While the new green color seems the rage now, I suspect that it will get old quickly when there are so many on the street...I'm not just just being sour grapes here cause I can afford anything I want but I'm still an old red/chrome wheels guy. Think I'll just continue to be happy w/ my old broken down '08 Callaway...

The first C7 I saw was red with chrome wheels and I must say it looked hot.
Plenty of Vettes around now with black wheels, that will change as the look is getting old and overdone.
Black wheels will be around for a while, then some other color will be most popular.
I love the C7 in AW with black wheels.....just like my 07 C6. It was nice having black wheels back in 07 before it became the rage. Now I see white cars with black wheels more often than not.

What is being produced depends largely on what customers ordered. Apparently many like the black wheels. It does look good on the white exterior cars, but other than that I would much prefer another option.

I have been quietly thinking this to myself as well. I've seen some C7's looking good to me but some that look absolutely ugly. Maybe its a generational thing but at this point I still just like the C5/C6 classic look better.
Three things I've noticed: It is very common for people to say the car looks much better in person than in pictures, or "the pictures don't do it justice". Also, the photos I like the best are the side profile that don't show the back or front of the car. And finally, although the interior maybe an upgrade from the C6 I'm not convivnced I am going to like the the "video game" dash setup more than the classic, "old" analog setup in the C6.
All that said, theres no denying the C7 is more sophisticated, refined and modern, and thats why I'm anxious to see one in person, which I have not been able to do yet. All of my opinions are based on the pictures alone, which may not be totally fair.
I have to agree about too many black wheels. They just disappear. Even my wife (not a car person) asked what was with the black wheels. I think Vette's all look good with chrome.
