Default Front Splitter Solutions?

I'm looking for a solution for my front splitter that is basically just hanging there and looks crappy? Should I get a new plastic/rubber one from the dealer, or a carbon fiber one from an after market dealer. 2012 3lt GS Corvette. Thanks in advance. Bill in San Diego

I had my oem carbon splitter wrapped in Xpel film to protect it from road debris. Of course curbs still strike fear and are always on my mind.

if you damaged your plastic splitter you may want to think long & hard about spending the money on th CF unit and then damaging it.
they do look good though.

A replacement OEM plastic one is cheap ($158 + shipping) compared to the Carbon Fiber ZR1 style splitter (like mine from RPI - $500 to $600).

Already had to replace mine once.

But the carbon fiber ones do look good.

If you mean "Just Hanging there" as it is loose or broken, then I would think real hard on spending the big bucks on a carbon fiber splitter. They look great, but break very easily plus the repair cost can be as much as a new one.
However if what you mena is that it just does not seem to add anything to the car, then by all means a carbon fiber splitter will do that for you.

.

I've had mine on for about 6 months now, and not even a stone chip. I think you have to be extremely aware and very cautious on where you driving. Splitters look awesome on our cars, that's why I installed it. Go for it and be careful! BTW my car is lowered on stock bolts.

It's a SIC Motorsports Violator hood. They no longer make this exact version of the hood. The current version is about 1" higher in the raised 'bump' part of the hood.
