I Cant believe the attention I have gotten from friends and strangers towards my new to me 2008 C6!
What is it with corvettes? My mustangs and Cobra never elicited responses like this from other people.

It's almost weird. I'm married and 44. Even teenage girls are gawking at me. Good thing I'm not the type to take advantage of this awesome new power.

I would dare say that at least once or twice a week while I'm out driving, that someone will say "nice" car, more often at gas stations and car parts stores, but also at grocery stores, restaurants etc.
They always think it's a new car, even though it's a 2006.

same here, even with the 06. Before the 2000 c5 was often mistaken as new even though it was 10 years old. The only vettes that I didnt get the "is it new" comments were the 81 and 73 c3's. But they get a lot of attention and compliments on the other fronts....
