Default Price help

Hi Gang! I'm on the C5 board and my dad asked me to price this car. My market knowledge on going prices for C6's isn't as good as many of you here. Any help would be much appreciated.

Please give me what you think your buy price would be for this 2010 GS Vert 3LT, Nav, Z16, Auto, 20k mi

That would depend if it were a private sale or through a dealer and the condition of the GS but it might run anywhere from $39 to $45K.

Top condition.

Anyway, my question is not what you where you would expect it to be priced but rather what you think a good buy price would be... or what would you pay?

Thanks all!

For a convertible? Probably on the higher end of that range. Maybe $43-45K. There may be dissenters, but that would be a fair price.

Edit: Just looked it up on Kelly Blue Book optioned the way you indicated... "Excellent" condition actually tops $46K. Me personally as a buyer, I'd hunt around for a deal to pay $3K less than that.

(Of course there's other factors... Geography matters a lot, too. Not too many folks wanting to shell out a lot of dough up north for a car they can't drive all year.)

I try not to follow KBB and so on but that makes god sense. Thank you very much!

Anybody else have any differing opinion? I think my dad is going to make a move on a 2010 GS with 4k mi. I am guessing it was traded on a C7.

Thank you Jim, I appreciate the help. I typically rely on those guides for regular car buying but not on Corvettes.

Do you feel that they are accurate for newer Corvettes, such as C6?

You know in the end it whatever seems right and then there is the issue of your heart pulling on those purse strings. Best of luck in whatever he end up with.

Agree, what's a thousand bucks of purchase cost in the real scope of ownership? For me, with all of my mods, whether I made a great buy, average buy or below average buy when I first acquired the car is insignificant at this point.

I traded in my 2011 GS 3LT Vert with about the same options and 5k less miles for $46k back in April. I believe they sold it for $49k. Mine had chrome wheels and NPP exhaust also.

A lot depends on your location, especially since most of the country is going into winter.

Edmunds is pretty close for C6 values. Look at autotrader for your area but remember most of those are dealer prices.
