Parking Lights Question
This statement is in my '08 Owners Manual:
"The parking brake indicator light comes on and stays on when the parking lamps are on with the engine off and the ignition to Acc." This can be found on page 3-15.
However my car doesn't do this. The BRAKE light works but it doesn't come on in the situation described in the manual. Does anyone else's? I'm wondering the manual is incorrect.
This sentence is in there as well and my car doesn't do this either. Maybe they are related. I will get the chime if the headlights are on but not if the only lights on are the Parking lights.
"A warning chime will sound if the exterior lamp control is left on in either the headlamp or parking lamp position and the driver's door is opened with the ignition off." This one is on page 3-16.

Now I wonder if the first statement should really say "Parking Light" instead of parking brake. I can't think of any good reason for the BRAKE light to be on in this situation. What's the point?
