New thread old problem
I know this has been kicked around for a long time with no satisfactory answer to the problem. Oil smell...........noticed the oil smell after about the second or third week after buying the car (new)Changed oil at 700 miles and still had smell until about 1700 miles and then it went away. Just changed oil again with 4300 miles on car and now the smell is back. Didn't have it at all between 1700 miles and 4300 miles. Didn't spill one drop or overfill. Oil level is right at center hole on the dip stick, (proper temp. and wait time). Dry sump. Any new explanations on this.
