Just wondering . . .

. . . why the clutch and brake pedals in my '13 GS coupe are aluminum colored metal and the accelerator is black rubber. Is there a functional reason for this? Is it to save money ? Not a big deal for me but is it on purpose or should they all match ? Thanks.

They are like that from the factory on all C6. I dont know why. I got an aluminum cover for mine so the all match.

The accelerator pedal is really made of lead, and they cover it with rubber so the cops can't see it.

It was done to confuse people on the internet and to generate revenue via the sale of aftermarket pedals, pedal covers, and for the dealers, genuine GM pedal covers....
