I had 16290 miles on my original Goodyear run flats when I put my 2012 Grandsport away for the winter this weekend. Both fronts and rears are starting to cup pretty good so I think there will be new treads going on when the car comes out in the spring, probably Bridgestone run flats. From everything I've read, I think I did ok for mileage on the Goodyears but I'm definitely ready to get rid of them and get a different tire on the car. THINK SPRING!!!
PS - Thank to all the veterans out there for you service to our country.

I have an '05 vert with Goodyears and I just bot an '11 vert with Bridgestone Potenzas. I am anxious to see/feel the difference.
IMO, the best thing you can do to maximize tire life is get an alignment EVERY every time you get an oil change, regardless which tires you put on your car.

Alignment at every oil change ?? you're joling right ?

Yeah, that's overkill. If you need an alignment that often, there's either a design problem with the car, or maybe you live in Pennsylvania where the potholes are prolific.
I replaced the Goodyear Log Wagon tires on our 2011 Grand Sport with the Bridgestone Potenza run flat tires. It is amazing what four quality tires and alignment will do to improve the ride and handling qualities of a great car!!!

And the engine will last much longer if rings and bearings are replaced at every third oil change.
