Just bought a 2012 GS MT6 Z16 (with all the goodies) with 5500 miles.
Now, the white "Corvette" writing on the red calipers is partially worn off.
Since it's still under factory warranty can I asked they be "repaired" (painted?) or replaced as this wear is definitely premature?
OR will I be told it is considered "normal wear"? I'm also using a dealership different than where the car was originally sold.
What do youse expoits tink, eh?
Thanks beforehand,
Dan
During installation of a front wheel on my ZO6 the tech scratched a small amount of paint from the caliper. When I spoke to the service writer about touch up his response was, "no way, I'll order a replacement."
Based on what you've described in your post my thought is you have a valid warranty claim.
Sometimes wheel cleaners can impact the finish on the calipers and might not be covered under warranty. Since you purchased it this way and didn't create the issue, I suspect they will do something for you on this. God luck.
