Check out the one from top flight reproductions. Magnetic connection to the front grill, no opening the hood or snaking cords through windows. I think my charger is a Genius, much better battery tender than most.

I use a $40 charger from advance auto. It doesn't have a corvette logo on it... :Ohno!: It clips onto the battery terminals and I plug it in. Works fine.

There is a notch cut out in the drivers side door sill (bottom) for the power chord so you don't have to leave the window open. Not sure when they started doing this.

My car has the notches on both sides, and I wondered what they were for. Thanks for letting me know! But it seems like it would be hard to keep a cord in that small notch while closing the door.

I bought a CTEK and have a cord that attaches under the hood where you can jump the battery from. I plug the CTEK into that cord under the hood. Works well. 2011 Grand Sport Coupe with battery in back.

I have the CTEK version of the magnetic connection. It is really slick.

I use a battery tender bolted to the battery. I ran the wires out to the front grill where I can plug it in easily. If I forget to unplug it and pull out of the garage, it will disconnect itself with no harm done. Good thing because I'm a bit forgetful.....

My battery is in the back, so got a charger extension cord, cut it and added rings and a fuse, connected to battery and out the existing hole above license plate. Don't have to worry about disconnecting. Charger is sitting on a bucket behind the car, can't miss it when I open the door.

Since the battery is in the rear, I like the cig lighter plug thingy.

I use a magnetic connector in the grill for my battery maintenance system.
This is on my old CTS but the method is the same, and the connector is now on the 427.

I'm betting that these notches weren't molded into the rocker panels for the charger wire to run through. My money is betting that they are molded drain channels to allow water to escape from behind the lower door gasket. Whatever purpose they were designed to fulfill, they work great as a relief for the charger wire when the door is closed!!!
