Okay, I've looked in my glove box and I can't figure out what the heck that label says! It's all Greek to me. Anyone just happen to know the color code for Atomic Orange?
I took my '08 to E & M auto paint, and was told they could not mix a match in one can. I needed a basecoat/clearcoat combo.
A basecoat /clear coat combo is simply a two stage paint one being color the other being clear if all you want to do is some small touch ups with a brush, then they can mix a small can of color a half pint goes a long way and is fine for small brush touch ups, if you wanted to spray a panel then you need to apply color and a topcoat of clear like they said to get an exact match. in short they can mix up a 1/2 pint of color.
Here is a sample RPO sticker. The circled info is about the paint. BC/CC = base coat, clear coat. U = upper (in case of two tone paint there be another code). 8555 is the WA paint code (in this case - Black)
Thanks all. So I guess my AO color code is 418P? I also see the 83U. I don't see the "WA". Anyway, that should get the job done. After 6 1/2 years I got a rock chip on the driver's door just above the clear bra that is through to white. It's maybe 1/4 inch long and sticks out like a sore thumb on an otherwise perfect car I think I will try some paint chip repair.
