I am sure that a few will chime in but many may tell you to look at threads that have already been posted. There are many. Try the advance search tool. But just in case the question is whether you are comfortable without a spare or having a flat. Many will say that they don't have a problem and don't use run flats but to be truthful why would GM use them and have tires made specifically for the C6 and 7 with run flats. Their performance is great but they are a bit noisy depending on the brand.
Lets see if Wolfdogs will chime in he is an expert in the field.
Depending on how you use the car, a flat might be only a minor inconvenience or it could be deadly. Think about your own worst conditions and choose accordingly.
Modern runflats still cost somewhat more than non-runflats, but their actual comfort and performance are comparable.

I have a 2005 C6 coupe. I am requesting input, advise, option and guidance about: Run Flat vs Regular Tires.
I've also got an '05.....purchased new w/Z51 option which included the GY Supercar RF's. Hated them! Hard riding, noisy & although good grip on smooth roads, they tended to "skip" when cornering on rough pavement. Switched over to Nitto Invo non-RF's & have loved them ever since. Grip as good or better than the GY's; softer ride; much quieter; & none of the skipping. I do carry a plug kit & small 12v air pump, but thankfully have never had to use them. My C6 is strictly a weekend car, so having the non-RF's doesn't bother me.....if yours is your DD, you might feel otherwise.
no RFTs on any of the 3 Vettes....several LONG trips never an issue....carry a compressor and tire repair kit, cell phone and SIG .40
just did 1300 miles in my Z06 on non RFTs.....my C5 logged several Cruise Ins and other trips with non RFTs....130K and no flats....I only picked up one screw in a tire 3 miles from home...slow leak drove home and fixed it.
you gotta do whats right for you not what everyone here tells you

No runflats for me...but then I don't normally do a lot of traveling in the vette. We did make a 700 miles trip in it...I just carry a small air pump and a plug kit and hope for the best. Never had a flat. Picked up a nail twice in the same tire but found it while the car was sitting in the garage. Took it off, took it to local tire dealer, repaired, and put back on car.
Like Pewter99 said....air compressor, cell phone, and Glock .40
FYI: This is my first corvette and just joined the forum.
THANKS for the quick responses.... Helpful !
I was leaning toward regular tires. Yes, the vette is for casual/enjoyable trips.
I learned to quiet my (now little concerns) is to carry a compressor, repair kit and "SIG"...what's a sig?
I guess my question now is - I'm looking for Very Smooth & Very Quiet quality tires.

A popular brand of handgun.
I prefer Glocks and he prefers Sigs, I prefer runflats and he prefers not.
Life is full of choices...
I put NRF on my fronts and what a difference …the ride is smoother and it's quieter IMO. I have a green goop tire repair kit and triple A. I also carry a .40 as well :0, but an M&P compact.
Do you want to take a chance to patch a tire, wait for some one to come help you patch it or get your car towed (and this would be in the daytime in a nice area and no rain and stores nearby open with correct equipment to fix a flat or replace a tire that they have in stock) ...then get non runflats.
If you want to do the above but at night in the middle of nowhere, in the rain and a not nice area, raining, no stores nearby or open, ....then get non runflats.
Otherwise runflats are the way to go!!!!
Just ask yourself what risks are you willing to take and what you can put up with.
There are Michelin and Bridgestone RFT tires that ride just as good if not better than non RFT tires. I have the all season Bridgestone RFT tire. I drive my car in the rain and cold temperatures and a summer tire does not cut it for me.
From the pic you posted run flats all the way I run mich on my Z06. My new SS came without a spare and no run flats will trade car again when one comes in with the spare and jack. Order this SS before spare was available to order.

I own BOTH Glocks and Sigs, and like them both, but My Colt 1911 is still my all time favorite.....Just like vettes. I am happy with my 06, but would love a nice 65 396 yellow roadster. maybe someday....

ALL tires are smooth and quiet when new. That green goop will junk an $86 air pressure sensor!
