2011 GS Auto Shifter Problem

2011 GS Auto Shifter Problem
So I put my GS away for the winter last week and as I go to shift into Park, the tranny goes in Reverse. As I go to put it in Drive, it goes to Neutral. Seems like something is binding between the shifter and tranny.
I had a B&B exhaust installed prior to having this problem, and the guy who installed it even mentioned the shifter was acting funny. Never any issues prior to this. Both of us looked underneath while the car was in the air, and could not see anything obvious. The exhaust does not come anywhere close to the linkage or cable.
Just a coincidence or ???? The car is still under warranty through April but any thoughts would be appreciated.

Most likely a broken shifter, very common problem.
