Default Latest mod...

Hi,

As a member who only wants a slight tweak to improve the few remaining aspects to the Corvette... the lackluster throttle response and a little more punch to the trans shifting. The patient - a nearly stock 08 Corvette 1LT A6 coupe. The only mods I had were SLP Powerflo axleback exhaust, sound-deadening the rear deck, replaced the base stereo to a Jensen head unit (NAV/DVD/MP3/USB/SD), and Lloyd mats all around. The stock exhaust was simply too quiet for me.

Have been a fan of the Predator line for a few years... having installed separate units on a Yukon Denali (LQ4 6.0L) and Chevy Avalanche (5.3L), each having Corsa cat-back exhaust and Volant air intakes. Was considering updating the Corvette... and was drawn back to the DiabloSport line. Recently found a second hand (unmarried) Intune unit from the forum's parts for sale at a reasonable price.

Bought, received, and updated online to the current firmware version before installing the 93 tune with firm shifts. The results are amazing - this new combination should have been how the C6 came off the assembly line from the beginning. The improved throttle response combined with the tighter shifting points has placed a greater smile on my face. The car feels it has been re-energized, refreshed, and even more spirited.

Now I have to refrain from pushing on the skinny pedal. Come on... bring on the warm weather, again!!!

Thanx a bunch!

Nice mods.

How do you like the SLP exhaust (I've never run across a set)?

I don't have any documented empirical data... however I do have to caress the go pedal more carefully and is more responsive.

The SLP is a nice upgrade being slightly louder than stock and preferred the unique design. According to SLP... that particular design was discontinued Summer '13 - however some aftermarket retailers may still carry NOS (New Old Stock).
