Default RPI Service?

I ordered a spoiler from them about 18 months ago and everything was fine. Now I wanted to get the splitter, but I noticed there are a couple recent threads about customer service issues. Are these thread exceptions or is this something to be concerned about?

Don and Johnathan from RPI were both exceptional on my airbrushed FRCs and plenum.

Still waiting on my fuse box cover I ordered, but they are busy too.

So far, so good, IMO.

FWIW I have been involved in the threads you are talking about over in T&F and from what I can tell it seems that Josh always delivers but sometimes he gets busy and has problems meeting some deadlines. That being said some people would complain no matter what. I will be the first to admit I get pissy when I expect something and its not delivered as promised but I am less aggravated if its late and its right as opposed to half ***. Communication is key....so my suggestion to you is this, call Josh and tell him what you want and see what the time frame is. If it is agreeable to you then order.
Holidays are here so plan accordingly.

oh, I just wanna add this.....if you ordered from RPI and had an issue and didn't post a dispute this isn't the place. You can say I had a great experience or I had a bad experience.

I have heard good things about them. I will place a large order on Monday. Don has already told me that they are very busy. I believe most of my items are stock items but a couple are special order which will take a little longer.

We bought the splitter and side skirts last Christmas. The parts are great, fit is awesome. Im not pleased with the finish. We only drive the car on nice weekends and I am seeing alot of chips. I would say not enough clear coat. I called twice left a msg once never got a call back. I will fix it myself....i guess.

I had fantastic customer service from them and that was just a $35 license plate frame. I would not hesitate to order from them again.

I just ordered a fairly large order...I've ordered from them multiple times...Always deliver, not always fast. Some items "they" don't actually have any control over but still speed is not in their sweet spot...Always delivering though is..

The paint guy is great for what we're getting. If you're complaining about paint chips on a splitter I'd be horse laughing.

I have to say I never would again myself. I had multiple issues on an order I did a couple of years ago (it wasn't during a holiday or anything like that). At the same time, there was a forum member who PM'd me out of the blue. I never even posted anything except in a thread I posted in response to lead times. He asked me about lead times and the quality of the spoiler he got and wanted to know if I experienced the same. I had to tell him yes. I sent my spoiler back twice and even offered to just have it repainted locally if Josh would cover the cost. It was a NO and he wanted it back. So, I bought from someone else after I sent it back the second time.

I am sure this will be deleted since Mods don't like us even saying anything negative about a paying forum vendor. Not a dig on you Mods, but I have seen it plenty of times.

I've ordered from them twice. First time no issues, second time not so much. I've worked high level customer service for years and know what customer service should be. After the attitude I received on my last order/return/refund, I will not be ordering from them again, simple as that. Keeping a customer informed and up to date on statuses is key, oh and don't lie either.

Every after market item on my car is from RPI. Finish, paint match, fit was right on. CF and painted parts both. I did have an issue with one of the CF side skirts after being on my car for over a year. Spot or two in the finish appeared on the drivers side. Took couple of pictures and emailed Josh/RPI. Within 2 hours I get a response, "Sorry that happen, I'll send a new set right out in the morning, no charge".
Another time I hit the remains of a small animal on the highway, broke the splitter. Emailed Josh and ordered a new one, and told him what happened. Emailed me back, he'd ship a new one right out free shipping and gave me a discount. That's AAAAA+ for customer service in my book.

Don at RPI, too. And Johnathan, their airbrush guy, is great at his work, creative ideas, and communication...top notch

To be very clear, I had paint chipping after our 3rd drive. Believe it or not this is our exp. Im not the pickiest of people but I dont think the paint should be coming off the side skirts that quick. The thing that bothered me most is the phone rang and rang and no return call to me. I just gave up. Probly shouldnt have but they should have been decent enuff to return my very detailed msg. You know that was over a grand order!
