And it is a stand-alone $1200 option, not standard with any trim level.

A similar dual-mode exhaust system was standard equipment on every C6 Z06.
Why do you ask?

Ironically, one of the best options that i DIDNT know i wanted.
Mine happened to have came with it, and it ended up being one of my favorite features of the whole car!
It is possible to retrofit your car with an NPP kit made by aftermarket reps. I believe SunsetOrangeCreations sells them on this forum. You still have to locate the stock mufflers and a few stock parts as well.

It is a good sounding exhaust. I keep the flaps open all the time and love the sound.

Use an exhaust controller & remote switch. Very common mod for NPP. Easily installs in minutes.
Lots of kits & configurations available from many vendors. Do a search for mild-2-wild, sunset orange creations, etc(?). Youtube videos too.

And you can fine-tune the "quiet" mode -- make it as loud as you want:

I use the M2W controller and keep in off which leaves the flaps open.
