Default help with scrapping bottom

I am the new proud owner of an '08 vert. Upon entering my driveway, i am scrapping the undercarriage. The slope is subtle, and seems to be worse backing in or out. Any advice would be appreciated..... I will get pics up shortly.

Move.
Seriously, has the car been lowered? A subtle slope may scrape the front air dam and it is usually harmless...'cept for the embarrassment.

It's the air dam rubbing. It's normal and made to rub. Drive it and don't worry about it.

The air dam under the nose is actually 3 separate pieces,

At less than $100 it's almost sacrificial and rubbing/scraping is normal.

If you can, try approaching your driveway at an angle.

New tires , sway bar bushings , maybe 1/2 " on the height adjustment . Can get a bit more height . Like others wrote ,dragging the nose is common ,its even in the manual . Try hitting the driveway at a slow 45 degree approach , sort of flattens the ramp .

Why install new tires, bushings, or raise the car for something that's normal and does no damage???

It's the degree of scrape , every dip or driveway . Or a few times a day .
I don't like to bounce the frame on the pavement . They make a kit for it Fangs / frame covers .

If your frame is hitting the pavement - ever - you have a serious problem. That's not what the OP is asking about. Scraping the air dam is common and even mentioned in the owner's manual. There's no need to adjust, replace, or change anything for that.

Thanks so much for your responses, you were all right. The air dam was scraping, no big deal. Had my wife lay on the ground in the driveway while I backed out. Again, I appreciate everything.

If I had seen this thread a little earlier this might have stopped her from having to do that.

I always scrape backing out and never driving forward, on the home driveway.

No matter what angle I take backing out.

Neighbors always look, as if I am destroying my car...

I have a drive way with a steep slope. I come in from one side rather than hitting it straight on and it helps.
