My Z06 guides were shot at 43,000 miles. Didn't feel good about all the other issues and sold it to a dealer.
I now sleep well at night with my 13 GS LS3. Great car!!
I really like the z06, but do not want to be concerned with it blowing up on me, so I am leaning heavily towards the Grand Sport. I really don't need 505hp, although they would be nice to have.

Spend $10k to have a supercharger installed and you'll be close to 600hp with money to spare

headers and a tune will get you "most" of a Z06's straight line pulling power. I got around 440rwhp. Z06 does about 460rwhp stock IIRC.
Here's my acceleration video of my car and then I'll put up a z06 acceleration video...pretty close. Start them together and you'll see.
LS3 acceleration with headers/tune (non-Z51/manual)
We went from a C5 (350 hp LS1) to a 2006 C6 (400 hp LS2) and now a 2009 C6 (436 hp LS3).
The LS3 is the first Corvette engine that makes the car feel as fast as it should be. I absolutely love ours, and they have been quite reliable on the street. On a road course, with race tires, they seem somewhat prone to failures caused by oil starvation in long turns. For me, that's not an issue.
