Are any/some/none of the C6 factory radios capable of playing "homemade" computer generated CD discs ? My '07 Cobalt will not. Both of my Clarion after market stereo's do. Thanks, Bob
My '05 nav radio never had any problems playing burned CDs (until it decided it wouldn't play any at all), and my '09 6-CD radio has never had any problems playing burned CDs, whatsoever. Both are factory.
I should have clarified this in the first posting. I am talking about super compressed CD's. The kind that hold 200 + songs. Does that make a difference ? Bob

Oops! I forgot this one bit of crucial information.
I have 3 GM cars, all with factory stereos and they can play home made CDs - audio or mp3 format, including my 07 C6.
Thanks for this reply. Searching for this answer as my owners manual is in the glove box of my stored/covered car. Too lazy to move all the stuff around the car to get inside. Don't know if the manual covers this, but I have some mp3 discs that I am putting together for a trip. I know, I should get an iPod or similar and look into an input for such. I still may, but the burned discs are my backup.

The Vet CD player can read CD format discs (700m discs), with either the song on it in WAV or MP-3 format. In WAV format, you get about one album to a disc, while with the songs in MP-3 format, you get about 4 albums to the disc instead.
So if the questions is if you can convert the songs to MP-3 format to get more songs on a 7000meg CD disc to play in the CD player, the answer is yes.
What is can not read is DVD format discs in the CD player, so both the single layer DVD 4.7g and 8g double density DVD discs are not going to work in the CD player.
The stock radio sucks for mp3s. Sure it plays them, just don't try to find a song or skip around quickly. I'd definitely recommend aux input with something else...ie iPod.
