Default Polar Vortex

Now that the polar vortex is headed back home I'm going to get the Vette out, check the tires, and exercise it a little. Pretty day here in NC.

Good for you.

Maybe one day, you'll move south where you can do that every day.

Just kidding. We have 2 or 3 days a year that I don't drive mine.

Yea it's great right? The weather here in Roanoke is a little colder than it was in Charlotte, my tires seem to be needing air every week, just cannot figure out why.

I have lived in the Tampa Bay area of Florida since 1968 (really showing my age), and we have not had a Hurricane hit us, been brushed a few times, but I will settle for the chance of a hurricane then knowing I will have sub zero temps each year along with snow. No thanks.

I'd trade my weather systems for your coastal weather systems in a heartbeat. Nothing but envy from my end.

Yeah, the pavement is starting to show through the snow and salt and it looks like the lunar surface.

Is it true that it's been 70+ years since a hurricane hit the Tampa area? I have a rental place near you and that is what all the locals have said.

It's been about that here in MI everyday this week too. Do you guys think their might be tire issues at -20 if we just take them for a SHORT run when it's dry?? (JUST KIDDING) LOL

One good thing about the Polar Vortex is that we didn't get the usual weather reports from everyone down South. its warming up so their waking up.

I did read something rather good about this last cold spell if they're right. Scientist are saying the extreme cold has killed off 80% of the Emerald Ash bore. Those bastards are threatening all our ash trees.....

We'll be busy with car shows all weekend here. Weather should be sunny mid to high 80's.

As exciting as a polar vortex sounds I'll let you northern guy's keep it. Us southerners will just have to get by with the A/C running.
