Has anyone mounted these on the front of a base C6? Is there enough sidewall? I also plan on going with the 305/30-19 in the rear in a few weeks.

You will have to go with the 305/30-19 in the back to keep the correct height ratio. You will have TC problems around 100mph if you don't.

I have a set of track wheels with Bridgestone 275/35/18 fronts and there is no issue. There is a little less sidewall than the 40 series profile of the stock size, so yes, there is less height to absorb pot holes on the street. If your local roads have you blasting through craters all the time, it might be something to think about, but it's not a problem for average roads. The 35 series non-RFT actually rides smoother on rough roads than my 40 series RFT's.

As Dev said, you have to lower the rear profile or you will have TC (ie: AH) issues at speed. With those fronts, I run the 305/30/19 rear. No Active Handling issues with that combo and I have tested it up to 140 mph.

I'm interested in the 275/35 front. Is this on a stock width and offset from wheel on a base coupe?

No issues with the TC? Also, what brand? Different brands can have narrow tread width and/or different diameter for a given aspect ratio.

I'm running Bridgestone RE-11's on OEM coupe wheels. I picked the 275/35 - 305/30 sizes because the stagger calculates out to be within the factory tire sizing F/R diameter ratio limits. If I remember correctly, the 265/35 - 305/30 combination also works, but I like the wider rubber on my track tires.

There are no TC issues with this sizing combo. They will even tolerate a little bit of rear wheel churn at high speed. I've done it at around 100 mph on several occasions and the car allows only just slightly less churn than the stock tire size can get away with. (Not a bad thing at that speed!)

Here's pics of the tires mounted up:

My 07 base c6 has had the original tires, 305/30, 325/30, and 345/30 on the back factory rims. They all fit good. All of those did not mess with the traction control. My fronts need to be replaced and I'm going to 275/35/18's in front to go with my 325/30/19's now. Doesn't Z06's have the 275/35/18's and 325/30/19's as factory size? I think they are almost the same diameter as the factory base model tires and there should be no problems with the upgrade.

I have the GY 265-35-18 with 295-35-18 on the back. As best I can remember, shifted into 4th around 105 or so with no nannies complaining.......................:thumb s:

I'd love to see a pic of your 345/30 rear tire on the OEM 10" wide, base model wheel.

If you did manage to mount them, I'm guessing they are not runflats.

Yeah, the shoulder roll up with a 10" rim and a 345 tire would look ridiculous. A 10" rim allows a 295 max tire, anything more the tire shoulder rolls up and can cause high speed instability.
