So my driveway has a pretty sharp slope to it directly into the garage. No matter which way I pull it in, the front wind dam drags for about 5 feet on the ground.
We are actually planning on selling this house soon so it isn't a permanent problem. Wondering if that dam can be temporarily removed?
Lots of posts on this, search and you will see how to do it, if you choose to.
But it won't hurt your vette to leave it on. I drag mine daily, and have done it on vettes for over 5 years now, and never any issue, other than the noise.
I wouldn't bother. It's only a little over $100 to replace. Besides, if your current driveway shaves the wind dam down a bit, you might find it preferable.
