Default Ashtray Light?

I know that's sacrilegious to smoke in my beautiful 2012 TR 3lt GS!! Every now and then I can't avoid it. It would sure be nice if there was a light so I wouldn't have to guess where to put out the but. Are there any smokers out there in corvette land that have found a solution?

I applaud you for keeping your butts in the car and not tossing them out the window. For a time I defended smokers even though the smell and the smoke totally offended me. However, all one has to do is look in the gutters and see just how piggy many cigarette smokers are. I hope you find a good solution.

I don't know how guys do it. Pets in a Vette, driving in snow, Christmas trees tied to the roof, smoking. I think I've seen just about everything posted, except road head.

OP - Maybe cut the top off of a frozen juice container or soup can and place in the drink holder, then just toss the can in the garbage, and replace. Less mess than using the ash tray.

I don't smoke, but have a buddy who used to smoke in his C6. He had one of these that fit perfectly in the cup holder.

You're paying for it, so it's okay by me for you to smoke in it. I've found that a Butt Bucket works really well in the forward cup holder.

Here's a link to one like the one I have. http://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/Vict...FeHm7AodQQgAPA

If your car was a pre-2008 you would shave a little blue spot light shining down from the right side of the windshield surround that would put a dull glow in the cabin...

yeah, I don't have one either.

I would gnaw my own arm off before I'd smoke my pipe (straight pipe tobacco, and I thank you!!) but My 07 has that little blue light and it is completely cool. For the OP, that Butt Bucket thing looks like it would work well for you. Never heard of that product - man, this forum is just terrific.

Not quite.
My wife's 2011 Toyota Camry XLE is the top of the line; IIRC forget about a light, no ashtray available at all on the order sheet. Ashtray was a dealer installed accessory (that we did not get).

you can put a small 3mm bulb in there. If you were local I'd put one in for you free of charge.

Let the window down about 8 inches, use the middle finger pluck method and and out the window she flies. Hopefully your going fast enough that the wind will put out the butt before hitting the ground. And you smokers that are shaking your head right now....get over yourself, you know you have in the past or still do. And you non-smokers, until you walk a mile in my shoes I dont want to hear it!

I have never thrown a lit cigarette out my window. No one should. I don't even flick ashes out the window. Riding motorcycles gave me another perspective.

I hated the dark in the console area and added the sunvisor light bracket, I put a mini toggle in it. To turn on and off, tapped into the sunvisor wiring.
There are a couple for sale on ebay.
While I was at it I added a HOMELINK in the passenger sunvisor.
