Default Oh boy!

Hello Forum! I haven't posted in a while and the main reason for that is because I've been vet less for about 18 months. Not to say I couldn't do my duties and stay part of the community.

Well, I still keep in touch with the gentlemen who bought my 2010 GS from me. He lives in Canada and loves the car as much as I do. We've really created a friendship through the whole selling process and he gives me updates of how she is doing. I loved that car for many reason, but the biggest are because I picked it up from the museum with my father after I ordered it exactly how I wanted it.

I sent him an email the other day asking what he thought of the new C7 Z06. He replied yesterday and told me I must have read his mind. He said he is thinking of ordering one and he wanted to know if I would be interested in buying back the 2010 GS.

My reply, which would be standard for most of us I think, was "Absolutely!"

So, it looks like I might be coming back into the vet realm. The best part is, it's with a car that is very well taken care of, that I custom ordered.

Pretty excited. I'll keep you guys updated

Why did you sell it in the first place?

Ya gotta admit that after reading your story, that's the obvious thought.

Good for you for being able to get back into your car, it sounds like you missed it, like an old girlfriend.

I guess selling it, making friends with the buyer, getting updates on it, and then buying it back makes sense to some people.
Not sure I get it, but to each their own, enjoy it once again..

Congrats on the reconnection if you end up buying it back.

Isn't that like marrying an Ex?

Sure, you had some good times together but, that's the past, there's a new future ahead.....

I bought a 69 Z/28 Camaro RS back in 1988 and drove that car all over the country but never really had the money to restore it to it's original condition. In 1995 I sold it and every time I saw a magazine article or a picture of a 69 Z I felt a lump in my throat. In 2000 I found a nice 69 in Kentucky and made a deal to buy it, Not a 69 Z/28 RS but an RS with the same deluxe interior. I couldn't find a real Z that I liked or could afford and thought I'd do a replica. About 10 minutes before I needed to call the guy in Kentucky to seal the deal, the guy I sold my Z to called me looking to sell the car back to me. (freaky huh) We had made an agreement that if he ever decided to sell it I would get the first call. Anyway I bought it back and in the next three years I did a frame off restoration. I kept this car and vowed never to sell it again. Here we are in 2014 and I hardly drive it because I have my ZR1 so thoughts of selling it have resurfaced. Moral of the story is cars will come and cars will go and you can't keep them all unless you're Jay Leno!
