Default Hood Alignment

I have noticed that the hood on my car doesn't sit quite right. The back corner on the driver side (where you would pull it up to raise the hood) seems to be a wee bit too high. The other side seems to line up fine. It is not bad but it does bug me. Is there an adjustment for this?

I believe that those little rubber stops on each side near the top edges can be screwed down or turned up to align the top of the hood.

Mine needed this dialing in too.

What happened though is the rear edge (closest to the wipers) corner was even but the seam running along the fender was now off. The hood now sat lower than the fender especially in the middle section.

Try adjusting the rubber stops but beware that the hood may not be perfect shape anyway.

The rear hatch was easier to even out by the way.

My situation also.
Our hood is a little high at the rear but a little low in the middle. Parts are original, never damaged.

Funny thing... I went out and looked at it today... it's straight and even now. Weird.

The plastic body parts do move around with temperature changes.

When I went to buy our new 2009, the dealer had two absolutely identical cars, including color and options. I got to drive them both and pick one. I spent over an hour inspecting the two cars as the day warmed up and the sun angles changed. Every 15 minutes, I would change my mind about which one had better panel fitment.
Couldn't find any real differences, so I picked the one that had been moved around the lot from time to time, and skipped the one that had not been started or moved in 9 months.

If you take a look at the hinge, you can loosen up the bolts and there is up and down adjustment, I would start by marking the original bolt positions with a sharpie marker then move the hood adjustment down an 1/8 of an inch, have a second person help hold the hood while making adjustments , it's actually pretty easy.
