I sold my beloved LPE 2007 AO Coupe today to partially fund my daughter's wedding. Sad day. I have some good and bad thoughts as I depart the Forum. The good: It has been a privilege to own and drive a Corvette for 7 years. Just looking at it made me smile. There was never any kind of problem. The TVS2300 was an incredible mod. Every man should have the experience. The Forum was a great help early on.The bad: If GM had done a decent job on the trim I would not have spent so much money upgrading it. While it was some fun, I would rather have spent more money up front for a nicer finished car. The Forum became too repetitive and no one seems to know how to search. I liked how it looked all shiny, too much, and kept it too clean. I DID NOT DRIVE IT ENOUGH!
As much as I like the mechanical and trim improvements in the C7, I do not like its edgy look, so I won't be owning another Corvette again.
It's been great and bye all!

The Corvette Community is a special one. In spite of all of the business, family and friendship functions that I am part of, owning a Corvette has a special place in my lifestyle.
You did good in my book....in the end it's just a car but walking your daughter down the isle on her big day with things set up the way she likes them is priceless......
All the guys who said you're a special guy, and you love your daughter---I'm with them, Larry. You've been great here on CF and obviously, to your family. I hope you enjoy the heck out of whatever you do next, car-wise. But no matter what, many of us will miss your miles of smiles. Best to you.
Sorry to see that you had to sell your Vette but I admire that you put your daughter's happiness first. She will never forget that. Hopefully she found the 'one' for her.
My daughter got married 3 years ago, and it wasn't cheap, but there is no way I would sell my vette to pay for her wedding. I love my daughter, but there is a limit, at least as far as paying for an expensive wedding...if she couldn't understand that, they could have eloped.

I would have kept the Vette. And, gave her the difference in cash. And, told her to elope. All that money for a four/five hour party is . Glad I had two boys.
