Local Chevrolet agreed to replace the "Corvette" stainless trim piece in the emblossed rear end lower right the dealer said they cannot find the part. Was it standarad or after market.
I'm confused, are they agreeing to replace it under warranty? Because it's not a warranty item, since it is aftermarket. Or are you buying a used car and it is missing the piece?
Local Cehvrolet Dealer is not much when it comes to Corvettes. They thought it was a stock or a Chevrolet option. I bought the car with 6800 miles on it and it ws on it but was partially loose frome being caught by something while being washed.

They are pretty cheap. You can get many colors and finishes if you do not like what is on there.
The best think you can do is remove those stick on letters and paint them on. The problem with the stick ons is that they seem to always come off. There is a thread explaining the paint procedure. It is very easy to do and doesn't get caught in the wash rag while washing the car.
just a thought.
