Don't take this the wrong way
Before I ask a question, I love the idea of mods. Lot's of the cars here look awesome. The power some are looking for is also awesome. Question, This car seems fast to me (from a 2000 vert) being 65.yrs old. So are their a lot of people say over 55 that think this car is slow? Just wondering if it's me or not. I do enjoy getting on it when I can and love clover leafs to watch the g meter. Like I said just wondering.

Some people just have a small ***** and feel they need more power....it's a compensation...
For real though...no one NEEDS more power...Because the don't even use the 400+ HP they have 98% of the time. It's a WANT....so if you WANT more power...get some !

Advanced
I am way under 55, and respect the skill and expense of upgrades, but I have never even come close to getting to the end of my car's performance.
I think it has to do with the fact that I run out of *****/road/driving skill long before my car reaches peak performance!

most guys do mods to their car because it is their hobby and its fun to do things to it which make it look better or go faster.a stock c6 corvette is fast enough for anybody considering the owners manual says your car will do 180 mph on a race track and the highest legal speed limit in most states is 70 mph.

Don't measure the speed of the car by 0-60. Its fast but if you want to scare yourself measure 30-90. The car takes off like a rocket. The C6 will whip most cars off the line. You can just about loose it slamming it 30-90. Then you'll feel the power of the car.

Stock power is fine for me. I've seen some heavily modded cars, and it seems to be a Johnson measuring contest. Maybe they're compensating like the lifted truck guys.
