Default Build Sheet Question

Just received my build sheet for my "2010" GS. Most noticeable is where it lists model, the number is 07. This couldn't indicate a discrepancy in the model year could it? I've only had the car less than a month so there are a lot of things about Vettes that I don't know. If it's a dumb question, sorry.

For sure it isn't the year because the didn't build any GS in '07. Go to the NCM web site and somewhere under "Specs" is a decoding section. Or just do a search on "Decoding VIN numbers".

Definitely not. Besides, 2010 was the first year for C6 Grand Sports. No worries - you're fine.

07 is the Model Code not the Model Year. I have that same 07 Code on my 2007 base model and my 2012 GS build sheets.

The 12th and 13th numbers of your Vin should be 10

I have the same code on my 08. When I bought the build sheet and window sticker from the museum it came with a sheet that decoded the VIN.

You can get both from the NCM.

They are high for what they are, I think. But, I wanted them. I got them laminated and I framed them myself. It didn't take too long to get them. I can post a picture when I get home tomorrow.

They are very high. $45 for the sheet plus $10 shipping. I guess that if you are the only source then you can set your own pricing. Thanks for the replies men.

The site said expect up to 10 weeks to get it if I remember correctly. It came within one week.

You have to decide if you really want them. They are cool though.

They are definitely overpriced with the added corvette tax. I got the window sticker and built sheet for around $100. A family member just bought a 2013 roush mustang and I framed his window sticker and roush sheet for him. Window sticker = free online and roush window sticker about $50... PLUS, the window sticker was a color one just like an original, not a black and white photocopy like we get for our beautiful corvettes...

The "07" is part of the model code for a coupe. The full model code is 1YY07. All base C6 coupes will have that model code on the build sheet and on the window sticker.

A base convertible is 1YY67. Grand Sport Coupe is 1YG07 and a GS Vert is 1YG67.
