Vette running like junk, need help ASAP
The car is an 05 with a LS2. Mods include Longtube headers, Ported intake manifold, bored throttle body, intake, and tuned. the tune has been on the car for more then 3 years with no problems.
So I when I let off of the throttle I get a surging feeling coming from the car. She won't idle for snot, idle goes up and down and is very rough, and will pop from the exhaust after coming down off of a rev.
Check engine light came on with the code P0106 which is the MAP sensor performance. So I bought a new MAP sensor installed it and it still does the same thing and threw the same code even after I cleared it. I let it idle for a good bit and took the car around the block and still the same.
My Jeep has the transmission out of it, and I have been using the Vette to drive daily. I just got moved to work 40 miles from my house and my wife has been driving me for the last two days. I need to get this fixed ASAP and I am at a loss.
What do you guys think?

I know less than nothing, but have you checked to make sure all the plug wires are firmly attached, and that none of them have a crimp/gap in the wires themselves?

Peak performance did the extreme port on the manifold taking out all of the post. The car has been running just fine until now. I have replaced the MAP and Cleaned the MAF and still bad. Throttle response also feels a little off. I checked my bolts on the manifold and I snugged them up a bit.
It seems to be a little better then before but still have a check engine light on and I don't want to take a chance with it on a hour drive back and forth to work.

Have you checked the harness for opens, checked the 5V reference and ground at the sensor?
Do you have any kind of scanner to read the MAP?

Something else to consider, maybe driving it with the bad map sensor caused the car to learn some bad air/fuel and the car needs to relearn with the new map sensor? Or maybe the new MAP sensor was faulty out of the box?

Yes I have a scanner that can read real time MAP signals. I have not done any type of probing with a volt meter. Most all of my tools are still at my old house... we just moved 3 weeks ago.

Is P0106 the only code you are getting? There are a lot of other codes that would identify the specific issue with the MAP.
Is the engine temperature correct? A bad coolant temperature sensor can also cause the MAP model calculations to be incorrect and this code to be set.

Have you washed the eng bay ? I had the same problems and it was water in the MAF connector. Dried it out and all was well.
Now I just clean with quick detailer and a MF rag.

If you are lost, and there is only one thing left, and bite the bullet and take into service were they have the machines properly diagnose the car. Hopefully the Tech will be sharp and honest.

sounds like an intake or vacumn leak. here's a link explaning how to find it.http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars...-vacuum-leak-2
