P2068 Fuel level sensor code

P2068 Fuel level sensor code
Filled up with gas the other day and the gauge was stuck on empty. Service fuel system came on the DIC and it threw a P2068 code. Have read tons of posts about this issue. Here's my question: is the fuel sending unit the same part as the fuel level sensor?

Outstanding.To be able to finally see both PITA culprits means a lot to anyone contemplating a DIY. Your theory why passenger's side usually goes out first makes a lot of sense.
OP: Go to link, appears both tanks come out w/ tranny in.

The tanks can be removed without removing the drivetrain on a manual transmission car.
The automatic transmission is larger and I do not know for sure if the tanks can be removed while the drivetrain is installed. Forum member Motorhead-47 says he was told it is possible on the automatic cars but has only done it himself on manuals. My car is a manual. It was very tight getting my hands up in there - don't know if I could do it it with less clearance.
