That's why they PAY to be on the forum. That is what makes this forum FREE for those who choose not to pay. 40 posts since 2008 doesn't look like you spend much time here. JMO

Forum vendors have rules they're expected to follow, just like other forum members.

I have used only two forum vendors here (Tire Rack and Parts Taxi), and have not had unwanted phone calls or emails yet.

But for the over-intrusive vendors one could setup a special 'browsing account' with a bogus 900 phone number and an email address that is never read.

this, just empty your cart, takes all of 2 seconds.

I've never received a phone call, but most sites do the email. When looking at stuff on sale at best buy, some of the things you have to add to your cart before you can see the price. I've forgotten to remove them numerous times and gotten an email a few days later.

Because I dont have a high post counts means I don't spend time here? Sorry I use the search function most of the time.

This is the only forum I've been on where vendors have such free roam. I understand they pay to be sponsors but they need to use the Vendor Forum for their sales, I shouldn't be in General Discussion and seeing a bunch of vendor for sale posts.

Might I suggest you spend your time on those other forums then instead of trying to change this one to suit your desires? Or you could buy this forum and do whatever you want with it.

Do they think (added - I am a) we are complete damn idiots that do not know what the 'checkout' button is for??? I am getting sick of this crap and it seems like it is only prevelant with vendors selling Corvette parts online. In 43+ years of shopping I have NEVER once had this type of annoying 'service'. It is getting to the point that I want to make a mental note of NEVER dealing with that vendor again!
I just saw this and won't read any further. But to answer your question; you might be!

It's e-tail and you should 'clear' the cart before leaving. Otherwise, a computer is waiting for you to complete what you started. Some sites will follow up with you, as you have found out, or that item will be there six months from now if you return to look at another item.

That's how it is. And it is how most online stores check-out systems work.
