Replace only option - corroded wheel
Took my car in to have a slow leak looked at, to which they showed me some corrosion along the bead. They said there were no leaks anywhere but the bead area, so the cleaned up , and remounted the tire.
It is still leaking slowly..however with the cold temps it has been leaking more per day.
I have OEM chrome wheels on my 2009, so is replacing the wheel my only option? Anything that would seal that area, or something?
Thanks

I'm sure it's not the best option, but years ago we used to seal a leaky bead by putting brake fluid around the bead of the tire to soften the rubber. They would seal right up. I can't say what the long term effects on the tire would be though.
Cadillac chrome wheels are terrible about having this problem. Maybe other GM models also, such as our Corvettes? Either fill the tire up with Slime or have tire taken off and have the bead seal area buffed out with a wire wheel. And wait for another place to flake off.
