How many of you keep onstar after the freebies are gone . I don't mind paying for the service but I won't give them a credit card . Mine has been compromised once and it was a pain to take care of . Maybe one day they will do as serius does .

I've kept mine since purchasing new in 2008. Never had to use it, but just in case it's ever stolen (not likely because it never out of my sight unless locked in my garage) it can be traced.

No longer active on my '08. Funny thing is I find myself checking tires, oil, etc more often now that I don't get a monthly report. Guess I got lazy for a while and let the car tell me via OnStar when there might be a problem.

I've kept mine. I use it for a hands-free cell phone more than anything else.
But I'm also aware they can unlock the doors for me if I leave the fob inside. They can also track it if it gets stolen.

I have kept OnStar. I use it as a hands free phone while in the car.
It has saved me once when I locked my FOB in my golf bag in the hatch area. As soon as I was walking away from the car, I realized what I had done. Two minutes later, OnStar had the car unlocked and I had the Fob back in my hands.
That alone is why I keep the service, and that I use non runflats, so I need to know where I am if I ever get a blow-out, which is about as rare as a hen having teeth lol
